Why We Need Your Support

Donate - Restoring Our Watershed

Sixty years ago, the Nandamojo River flowed year-round. The vision of Restoring Our Watershed is to return the river to year-round flow. It is an ambitious goal, which requires us to work on many levels: environmental, economic and social.

We have successfully completed a number of projects over the past 5 years, and along the way, have had great success in raising awareness among the local community and influential leaders about the value of restoring the watershed.

Our inclusive approach is based on collaboration that bridges geography, nationality, social class, and both public and private business sectors.

To date, our organization has been largely self-financed. The projects we have undertaken were made possible through private donations, volunteer labor and collaborative relationships with other organizations.

Restoring Our Watershed has little to no overhead costs for implementing projects. This ensures that almost 100% of every donation directly supports the programs.

We are also a very transparent organization and are in frequent contact with our donors. We provide monthly progress reports on our website, via newsletters and in blog posts.

Restoring Our Watershed is now focused on two key areas: Watershed Restoration and Renewing Local Food Systems. (Concern for wildlife and preserving habitat is a thread that runs through all of the work we do.) Our goal is to fully fund our operations budget and build program support to $50,000 annually by December of 2015.
