Help us Take Advantage of a $6,000 Matching Grant from the Guanacaste Community Fund
The Guanacaste Community Fund has awarded Restoring Our Watershed a matching grant for up to $6,000. With this extraordinary opportunity we will help small farmers initiate a land-use revolution in our valley.
With the grant, ROW will provide 25 farmers with three different types of grasses, fencing, and technical assistance to plant along 100 meters of contour lines on their farm. Using this practical, effective technique, farmers will see less topsoil erosion and better infiltration of rainwater. As area farmers see the benefits of this technology on their farm, a new perspective on sustainable land-use will be adopted and will spread in our valley.
We cannot reach this goal without your help. Thanks to our local community's support, we just need $4,200 more to receive the full grant award.
Happy holidays from ROW and our partners!
